Paulo Prietto started off the 2009 UST season right by taking first place in the first event of the 2009 season. Ordinarilly Cabo is the first event of the USTseason, but due to swine flu concerns that event was cancelled this year making southside the de facto first inning of the tour.Paulo expressed disappointment upon hearing that the Cabo contest was cancelled this year as he was looking forward to the event and really wanted to do well in the big blue waves of Baja, to start the season right. We think that taking first at Soutside must be the next best thing and want to congratulate Paulo as well as Brandon Sears(4th place) for starting the season off with a bang. Congratulations guys.
