As many Exile fans may have noticed, our 2008 "Catalog-Lite" seemed a little
more sparse than in previous years. The reason for this is simple, we have
been working on a skimboarding book. The book is combined with the
catalog and is now available for sale online.

The book portion is 82 pages long and chronologically takes the reader from
Exile's past to Exile's present with both photos and words. Numerous Exile
riders add their personal perspectives which we think makes for an interesting
read. If you flip the book over, it has our 2008 product catalog.
Exile will have copies available at our shop in about one week, but in the
meantime you may order a copy directly from the printer. We are very proud
of how the book turned out and hope you enjoy it as well.

Exile Skimboards is pleased to present the 1st Portuguese athlete to join team
Exile. The invitation was made to Simão Pinto, a 14 year old skimboarder
from Sesimbra, and national champion in his division.
Welcome Simão!
| 04.10.08 | Team.
Exile is proud to welcome Sam Stinnett to the Exile family. For many
years Sam has been turning heads with his speed and grace on a skimboard.
Onlookers have often commented on his potential to become a World Champion.
But those are some big shoes to fill. For the moment, we are just looking
forward to going skimming and having fun. We could not be happier to have
him on the team. Welcome Sam!
| 04.10.08 | Catalog-Lite.
Exile has released a Lite version of its 2008 catalog. Click the image
below to load a pdf. Stay tuned for information about the full "catalog".

| 04.10.08 | UST.
The UST (unitedskimtour.org)
has posted a demographic survey which will hopefully be useful in the further
promotion of skimboarding. Head on over and fill it out so to earn good
karma and a chance to win a prize bag.
| 11.20.08 | Team. Welcome Hoku Keawe, Harley Nelson and
Simon Avedissian.
| 01.07.08 | Surf Expo.
Exile will be closed Wed Jan 9th - Mon Jan 14th while we attend the Surf Expo
in Orlando FL. Feel free to leave us a voice message or email and we will
get back to you when we return. Thanks!
| 12.29.07 | TV Coverage.
Exile will be featured in an upcoming episode of Gear on the Mojo Network.
The show is all in high definition and includes some footage from bearded,
interviews with George Bryan and Aaron Peluso and some on site skimboarding by
Noogie, Geo, Ryan Moore and Woody Harris. Its for the uninitiated, so it's kinda cheesy from a skimboarders perspective. But cool to see nonetheless.
EPISODE 10 Synopsis:
Cameron takes up the sport of skim boarding with the Exile Skimboard Team Riders
in Laguna Beach, California. Then he goes inland a bit in Cali to be formally
introduced to another extraordinary piece of extreme sports gear – The Ripstick.
Pro-rider Ali Kermani shows Cameron how to carve the bowls on this 2-wheeled
caster board. Then Cameron does a feature on the mobile satellite radio device,
the XM-INNO, which actually allows you to record live XM broadcasts. Next,
Jumping Stilts madman and acrobat entertainer, Henry Holloway takes Cameron on
an all-out urban assault in some Powerizer Jumping Stilts. And finally, Cameron
ends up in Texas to meet inventor and modern-day, aviation visionary Larry Neal
who is revolutionizing personal aircraft design with his killer engineering
marvel - the Monarch Butterfly Gyroplane.

We are proud to welcome two new team riders on board.
Harley Nelson - Laguna Beach ripper who turned heads this last contest season by
going pro and beating many of the best riders in the world in his first two pro
events.
Hoku Keawe - This South Laguna grom (by way of Maui) is turning heads at only 12
years old.
Simon Avedissian - This Newport Beach local has been on a tear placing in the
top four in every west coast event this season.
Welcome all.

Exile is proud to welcome Romain Fraigneau to the Exile team. Romain is
one of France's top skimboarders routinely winning and placing well in contests
across Europe. We couldn't be happier to have him on board.
| 10.08.07 | Media.
As was previously reported, six members of the exile team spent the majority of
September in Europe. We saw France. We saw Portugal. We even saw a
little bit of England and Spain. All in all it was a great time. You
can see pics and read words about our journey in the latest edition of
Skimboarder Magazine.

Exile is going to France.
On September 11th Paulo Prietto, Grady Archbold, Brad Domke, George Bryan, Ben
Kotin and Aaron Peluso will be landing in Bordeaux in what will be Exile's first
trip to Europe. We will stay until the 22nd and look forward to meeting
French skimboarders and sampling all France has to offer. And who knows?
We might even head over to Portugal for a few days too!
Here we come... (and we are bringing Kotin with us...)
| 09.07.07 | Contest.
The Exile Oktoberfest in Newport Beach is approaching fast. Enter now!
| 08.25.07 | Team.
Exile is pleased to announce a few new riders to the team.
Kalin Wiley - Southern CA wonder grom who is turning heads every time he skims.
Cheyne Terjesen - We are pleased to add this NC ripper to the team
Danny Diaz - Chile's first professional skimboarder is also one of the nicest
guys you will ever meet.
Welcome to all. Profiles coming soon.
| 08.25.07 | Team.
The exile team has been on a tear the last three contests. Here is the
recap:
At the Vic we had a solid showing. While we didn't win in the pro's Paulo
earned fourth place and four other exile riders made it into the top 10.
Of course we would like to see more of our guys in the finals, but 5 out of the
top 10 ain't bad. In the AM's, Woody Harris took first in 18 - 21 while
Ryan Moore took second. Meanwhile Ben Kotin won his division again, and
Kalin Wiley won 12 - 14. Congrats to all!
In Vilano we had a different situation entirely. Paulo won the event and
pulled ahead in the UST Tour points. Congratulations Paulo. Grady
earned a 9th place finish while Domke, Jake and Justin got squeezed out early.
In Dewey we cleaned house. Paulo Prietto solidified his UST lead with his
second win in a row. Brad Domke took second place, while Grady Archbold
took third. Meanwhile, new addition Cheyne Terjesen took first place in
his division on his brand new board.
With two events left on the UST Tour, Exile is looking pretty. Paulo,
Grady and Domke hold the top three positions (!!!) while Brendan Stevens clings
to 6th place, even after missing the last two events. The next event is
late September in Santa Cruz.
| 07.12.07 | Team.
The exile team has been on fire since the last update. In NJ, Exile
team riders took 4 of the top 6 spots. We thought that was pretty darned
good. So we sent three pro riders out to North Carolina for the Outer
Banks contest and whaddya know?
1sr Place: Brendan Stevens
2nd Place: Brad Domke
3rd Place: Grady Archbold
Additionally, the two Exile Am's at the event took first and second in their
division.... (you know who you are Woody and Ryan).
All of this has had an interesting affect on the UST standings as Exile riders
currently occupy the all of the top four spots. Wow.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out after the Aliso contest next
weekend. It counts for double UST points and can definitely have a big
affect on the final standings.
So. Congratulations to everyone for a job well done and especially to
Noogie for winning his first major pro event!
| 07.12.07 | Discount.
We make a lot of skimboards here at Exile, and every once in a while we
are bound to make a mistake or two. When we do, we will usually re-make a
board for a customer rather than sell him something thats not perfect.
Over time however this means that the boards will often build up on the rack.
And right now we have a combination of blemished boards and less popular rocker
boards that we are letting go at a discount. Check the list below for our
current inventory and give us a call or email if you are inteested.

| 04.26.07 | The Truth About Carbon Skimboards.
At Exile Skimboards we believe in the concept of "truth in advertising".
It has recently come to our attention that some other major skimboard
manufacturers have begun selling "carbon" skimboards with actual carbon on only
one side of the board. This change has been implemented in an effort to
cut costs. At Exile Skimboards we do not do this. All of our carbon
fiber boards have a full sheet of Carbon on each side of the board.
Having Carbon on only one side is actually a detriment to the
structural symmetry and integrity of the skimboard. If anything, that
single sheet of Carbon makes the board weaker, because it changes the way
the energy is transferred to the fiber, and focuses it onto that single sheet of
carbon. The board would be stronger if a sheet of Eglass or Sglass was
there in its place.
So we won't do it. We won't do it to cut costs, and we won't even do it if
you pay us extra, because we believe it is not only false advertising, but also
faulty engineering.
And when it comes to structural integrity, we aren't willing to compromise.
So when you see another companies "Carbon Skimboard" and you want to compare it
to an Exile, first make sure it has carbon on each side, and then make sure it
is built with epoxy as well. We think you will find that there is nothing
better than an Exile.
Thank you for your continued support.

this holiday season.
| 11.30.06 | Team. Congratulations to Paulo Prietto for taking
first at the Exile sponsored Oktoberfest. Paulo already had 1st place in
the UST locked down prior to the event, but what better way to solidify the
overall win than with the winning of the event? Other Exile standouts were
Brandon Sears (4th Pro), George Bryan (6th Pro), Brendan Stevens (7th Pro), Mike
Hickey (8th Pro), Chris Marciniak (9th Pro), Blair Conklin (1st 11 & Under),
Shonna Cobb (1st Womens) and Tommy D'eliscu (1st 15-17). Sorry we haven't
gotten you up on the website yet Tommy.
| 08.21.06 | Contest. We are proud to formally announce the 2nd
Annual Exile Main St Oktoberfest Pro/Am. The event is to be held at Balboa
Pier in Newport Beach October 14th and 15th 2006. There are no beach

ENTRY FORM
and get it in to Exile or Main Street Surf Shop right away.
| 08.10.06 | Team. We would like to congratulate Paulo Prietto for
maintaining his top spot in the UST through the first half of the tour this
year. We would also like to congratulate Grady Archbold, George Bryan and
Brendan Stevens who are currently in 3rd, 5th and 6th place respectively.
That makes four of the top six Exile riders. We are proud of you guys.
| 06.30.06 | Team. We would like to congratulate Paulo Prietto and
homttown favorite Chris Marciniak for taking 1st and 3rd in NJ last weekend.
New Jersey was the second stop on the UST tour and with this win Paulo Prietto
has taken the early lead on the tour. Also, congrats to Woody Harris on
his 3rd place finish in the always competitive mens division.
| 06.30.06 | Service. Exile is pleased to announce that we will now
be open on Saturdays from 12-5 for the next several weeks. So that makes
the new hours 12-5 Mon-Sat.
| 05.22.06 | Newsblast. There have been a lot of great things going on
with Exile over the past 3 months. So many that updating the website fell
by the wayside. So here goes with an all or nothing update of what has been
going on...
First off we would like to welcome Blair Conklin and Woody Harris to the team.
Their profiles have been up for a little while now but they never got the
official welcome in the news section. We are stoked to have both of you
guys on the team.
Exile team riders have been killing it in recent contests. Brad Domke
almost single handedly held it down for Exile in the first two East Coast events
of the year, placing in the top four in each contest. The West St contest
was the first west coast event and Exile had an amazing showing with Brandon
Sears taking first place followed by Paulo Prietto in second, and Grady Archbold
in fourth. Then at the Cabo contest last weekend, exile riders took the
second through fifth place spots, in the following order: Paulo Prietto,
Brendan Stevens, George Bryan, Grady Archbold. Congrats to all our riders
on an amazing start of the competitive season.
In more serious news, we wish a speedy recovery to Brad Domke who suffered a
serious broken leg injury the day before the Cabo event. In addition the
the pain and long recovery process, we know that Brad really wanted to prove
what he could do early this season. It looks like we will have to wait
until at least late season to see him back in the water. Thankfully he is
expected to make a 100% recovery and knowing Brad's dedication we wouldn't be
surprised with a 110% recovery. Get well soon Brad.
Also, earlier this spring Jake Stinnett suffered a serious eye injury while
playing soccer (i.e. he got kicked in the eye). After days of anguish at
home he finally went to the hospital where he was told that he had a detached
retina and needed surgery immediatly, otherwise he risked permanently losing
vision in that eye. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and after months
of healing time, he is back in the water. Welcome back Jake.
| 02.12.06 | Catalog. The
2006 Exile
Catalog is now available for download in .pdf format. Print versions
should be arriving any day, along with a new mailing list subscription feature
on the website. To view the new catalog, as well as previous catalogs,

| 01.16.06 | Team. We couldn't be more proud of Paulo Prietto and
Grady Archbold who secured the number one and number two spots (respectively)
this year on the UST tour. Congratulations to both on an amazing
performance. Additionally, Justin Boisclair and Brandon Sears should both
be commended on their strong placings despite limited contest attendance.
Hats off to everyone for a job well done.
| 01.16.06 | Shop. The Exile Factory outlet is increasing its

haven't seen our 'new' shop yet, it's time to come in and say hello.
| 01.03.06 | Film. Woj at
NJSkim.com was kind enough
to take, and post, some photos of the New Jersey premiere of Bearded.
Thanks Woj!
Check them out.
| 01.01.06 | Pricing. 2006 has arrived and while we wish we could
announce that board prices have fallen, steadily increasing material costs
necessitate price increases. Eglass and Sglass boards will cost you about
5% more in 2006 while Carbon boards will cost about 10% more (to start with...).
Carbon has been in particularly short supply due to Boeing and Airbus launching
several new projects which rely heavily on Carbon Fiber. Carbon pricing is
now approaching 300% of what it was just one year ago and we are having trouble
locating our most preferred weaves and styles of carbon at any price.
Unfortunately this translates in to more expensive Carbon boards and while we
would like to say that there is an end in sight it looks like this trend will
continue for the near future.
| 12.22.05 | Team. We are very proud to welcome Blair Conklin and
Oliver Harrault to the Exile team. Blair is a South Laguna local and is
now Exile's youngest team rider. Oliver has been an influential French
rider for years. We look forward to working with both of you.
| 12.22.05 | Film. An Australian Bearded premiere has been

Congratulations to Brad Domke for getting 4th at the East Coast
Championships last weekend. This is Brad's second placing in the
finals during his rookie year. Not a bad start if you ask me.
| 08.01.05 | Results.
Congratulations to Brandon Sears and Grady Archbold for taking 4th
and 5th place respectively at the world championships. Our best
wishes go out to Paulo Prietto who despite severely re-injuring his back in his
first heat, still managed to get 9th place. Domke, we all know you
skimmed really well, better luck next time on the scorecards.
| 07.28.05 | Rider Poll
Awards. Exile picked up a few trophies at the recent skimboard rider poll awards.
Paulo Prietto walked away with Best Barrel and Breakthrough Performance while
Chris Marciniak took Best New Rider. Congratulations to both as well as all the Exile
nominees who earned runner-up.
| 07.10.05 | Results.
Congratulations to Paulo Prietto for getting second in Cabo, narrowly missing

back injury but luckily it felt a little better in the days leading up to the
contest and he was able to enter.

Congratulations to Grady Archbold, Paulo
Prietto, and George Bryan for taking 2nd, 4th and 5th place in Santa Cruz.
Also, congratulations to Paulo for taking 2nd at the Thalia contest last
weekend.
| 09.07.04 | Paulo Prietto On
A Roll. Paulo Prietto wins again! This is the second year in a row
that Paulo has won the Gold Coast Classic. It is also the second contest in a
row, as well as the third contest out of the last four that he has won. Did I
mention that he is the only person in the last 10 years to beat the reigning
champ more than once in a season, and twice in a row to boot? What I am trying
to say is that we at Exile are very proud of Paulo and his accomplishments this
year. In other non-Paulo news, Grady Archbold and George Bryan
earn themselves a healthy 4th and 5th place while Chris Marciniak wins
the Mens division and Brent Grech earns second in Junior Mens.
Congratulations to all.
